Dear Colorado Music Educators:

This fall, there are more class music technology course offerings for music educators than ever before with optional graduate level credit for music educators through Colorado School of Mines. Private tutoring will now be available as well at discounted rates. Note: all one-day courses are for 0.5 graduate level credits, and all two-day courses are for 1.0 graduate level credits at rather inexpensive college tuition rates of $30 and $45, respectively. Here are the fall, semester class courses being offered below in chronological order with 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. times mostly on Saturdays.

Note: both Finale 2004 and Sibelius 3.0 now being taught, perhaps the only place in Colorado!

  8. "Music Scanning with PhotoScore and SmartScore" - November 16, 2003 (Sunday)

Please e-mail to confirm whether the class is going as scheduled or changed to private tutoring. See alternative choice heading below for more information about private tutoring.

Winter, 2003 Semester Offerings!

Music courseware offerings will be rather limited winter, 2004 semester because I’m presenting workshops at the following out-of-state international/national/state conferences.

  1. 2003 Mid-West Band & Orchestra Clinic in Chicago, Illinois, December 18, 2003

  2. IAJE International Jazz Conference in New York City, January 24, 2004

  3. 2004 NAME Music Trade Show in Anaheim, California, January 31, 2004

  4. Texas Music Educators Conference in San Antonio, Texas, February 14, 2004

  5. Music Teachers National Conference in Kansas City, Missouri, March 30, 2004

  6. Music Educators National Conference in Minneapolis, Minnesota, April 17, 2004

Summer, 2004 Offerings!

Courseware for winter and summer semesters, 2004 will be published by December 15, 2003. Please advise if you want a different class not found here. There may be other educators desiring the same instruction such as for “Music theory and Ear Training” or “MIDI Basics” or “Intermediate/Advanced Music Notation” with Finale or Sibelius!” I can also structure any new music technology class for college credit provided at has 7.5 or 15 hours of instruction.

Alternative Choice: Private Tutoring with Flexible Scheduling and Reduced Rates!

Normally, private tutoring is very expensive in music technology. My private tutoring rates range from $25.00 (4 hour minimum) to $50.00 an hour (for 1 to 3 hours) on just about any music technology topic including all the fall, 2003 semester courseware listed above. Music educators can also earn the same graduate level college credit if 8 hours are purchased for $200. If two or more educators enroll together, there is even a sliding rate scale that continues to go down further which is nice because your colleagues can study with you in a private class setting at a mutually agreed time and all participating parties get price reductions as well as college credit opportunities. I have left Saturday, October 11, 2003 as an open date to be more flexible to better accommodate private tutoring or large classes not originally scheduled.

Tuition Fees With or Without Optional College Credit Fees:

Dr. Kuzmich's tuition rates for 7.5 hour classes is: $100.00. Tuition for 15 hour classes is $170.00. Tuition for 30 hour classes is $290.00. Tuition for private tutorial lessons has a sliding scale from $25 to $50 an hour depending on the number of hours purchased. If two or more teachers or high school students take private lessons together, the honorarium for the sliding scale also decreases significantly. Tuition for High School Technology class is $60.00 and their teachers can attend for free as a professional courtesy. Note: I have also had elementary and middle school students enroll in this class based on teacher recommendation. And in almost all student enrollments, the music booster's organization paid for the student enrollment fees as a thank you for their exemplary participation in their school music program.
