7th Grade Exploratory ClarisWorks Drawing & Painting Assignments

by Dr. John Kuzmich, Jr.

(November to December for first semester and May for second semester classes)

We will now concentrate on a number of graphic-oriented assignments. Be aware of the number of assignments and the specific worksheets that correlate with each topical disk. You are responsible for completing the worksheets and in turning them in for grading. All completed assignments need to be kept in your class notebook after they are graded. There will be notebook check every other week in which you will receive a grade.

ClarisWorks Painting & Drawing Capabilities:

ClarisWorks software allows students the opportunity to draw and paint a vast array of pictures, designs with and without text. ClariWorks's drawing and painting applications let you turn your monitor into an artist's canvas. Using the full 16 colors of this program, ClarisWorks offers you a selection of electronic paint brushes and drawing tools. You can fill in areas, cut and past or copy portions of your drawing, and create rectangles, ovals, and straight lines in seconds. For fine detailed work, you can zoom in on any area of the screen. When you're done, you can save your creation onto a disk so you can work on it another time, show it to your friends, audience or teacher in a "slide show," or use it as part of your own software programs.
